SHOi has been operational for almost one and a half years now, and has earned a good name in Hyderabad theatre circuit. 2 of or famous plays are namely Octopus Ltd ESTD 2024 and Hamlet Ya Nahi? I took on multiple roles for this film, including writer, director, actor, cinematographer, editor, and even makeup artist. Despite many hurdles—limited resources, technical challenges, and working independently—I was determined to bring this story to life and showcase what’s possible with passion and dedication.

The protagonist’s confrontation with her suppressed memories reveals both the fragility of human subjectivity and the arduous process of healing. In this regard, the play situates itself within contemporary discourses on trauma studies, particularly those that examine how individual suffering is mediated through cultural and performative expression. Written and directed by Dr. Surendra Singh Negi, the play derives its title from Rabindranath Tagore’s allegorical "Khachar Pakhi", a poem-song (or kobita–gaan in Bangla) in which a caged bird and a free bird articulate competing visions of freedom, confinement, and contentment. Grama Devata is a Telugu translation of "The Vicissitudes of the Goddess", a 2013 book by Sree Padma published by Oxford University Press, that explores the history of goddess traditions in India, with a focus on local Andhra Pradesh goddesses known as gramadevatas. The book traces how these local goddesses were incorporated and transformed into broader Brahmanical, Buddhist, and Jain traditions, examines the evolution of popular goddesses like Durga and Kali, and analyses how women become deified, often through sacrificial deaths.

This field trip is especially close to my heart. It’s an opportunity to help our children fall in love with stories — not just as words on a page, but as living, breathing experiences that unfold through books, cinema, and art. We want them to see that stories are more than lessons; they are journeys that connect imagination, emotion, and creativity.

For many of our students, English is still a growing language. Through this trip, I hope to nurture their curiosity and confidence, letting them engage with storytelling in a way that feels natural and exciting. Whether they are listening, reading, or watching, I want them to feel the magic behind every narrative — to cherish the process of storytelling, and be inspired to create and dream.

It’s a step towards building a lifelong love for reading, an appreciation for the classics, and an understanding that stories — in any language or form — have the power to shape hearts and minds.

This year we are celebrating the birth centenary of the great maestro of Indian music Sri. Salil Chowdhury. On the week of his birthday we want to pay our homage to the legend through his music which includes the various genre of his immortal creations.

“MG” is a deeply personal project—shot entirely on an iPhone 13 with zero budget. I took on multiple roles for this film, including writer, director, actor, cinematographer, editor, and even makeup artist. Despite many hurdles—limited resources, technical challenges, and working independently—I was determined to bring this story to life and showcase what’s possible with passion and dedication.

The participants will be provided with acrylic sheets and collection of designs along with glass painting. They will be required to pick up a design of their choice and trace on the sheet. Set within the seemingly mundane context of a job interview, the play destabilises temporal linearity by collapsing past and present into a disorienting continuum, thereby staging the enduring effects of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Through fragmented recollections and blurred boundaries between truth and illusion, the narrative underscores how trauma disrupts perception and resists coherent representation. The protagonist’s confrontation with her suppressed memories reveals both the fragility of human subjectivity and the arduous process of healing. In this regard, the play situates itself within contemporary discourses on trauma studies, particularly those that examine how individual suffering is mediated through cultural and performative expression. Written and directed by Dr. Surendra Singh Negi, the play derives its title from Rabindranath Tagore’s allegorical "Khachar Pakhi", a poem-song (or kobita–gaan in Bangla) in which a caged bird and a free bird articulate competing visions of freedom, confinement, and contentment. This intertextual reference enriches the central metaphor of captivity and liberation, resonating with the protagonist’s struggle to reclaim agency from the constraints of memory. By weaving raw emotional intensity with nuanced dialogue, "Khachar Pakhi" emerges through psychological realism as a poignant meditation on resilience, trauma, and the enduring possibilities of renewal.

Synopsis:
Based on Thomas Mann’s 1939 novel Lotte in Weimar, this East German drama revisits one of German literature’s most iconic figures, Goethe’s Lotte. Mann- a German novelist, short story writer, social critic, philanthropist, essayist, and the 1929 Nobel Prize in Literature laureate- crafts a poignant meditation on art, memory, and human longing.

Decades after inspiring The Sorrows of Young Werther, the now middle-aged Charlotte Kestner (Lilli Palmer) travels with her daughter to Weimar in 1816, hoping to meet Goethe once more. When a young waiter recognizes her as the “real” Lotte, the news spreads quickly through the town, drawing curiosity and excitement from Weimar’s cultured elite. Grama Devata is a Telugu translation of "The Vicissitudes of the Goddess", a 2013 book by Sree Padma published by Oxford University Press, that explores the history of goddess traditions in India, with a focus on local Andhra Pradesh goddesses known as gramadevatas. The book traces how these local goddesses were incorporated and transformed into broader Brahmanical, Buddhist, and Jain traditions, examines the evolution of popular goddesses like Durga and Kali, and analyses how women become deified, often through sacrificial deaths.

This field trip is especially close to my heart. It’s an opportunity to help our children fall in love with stories — not just as words on a page, but as living, breathing experiences that unfold through books, cinema, and art. We want them to see that stories are more than lessons; they are journeys that connect imagination, emotion, and creativity.

For many of our students, English is still a growing language. Through this trip, I hope to nurture their curiosity and confidence, letting them engage with storytelling in a way that feels natural and exciting. Whether they are listening, reading, or watching, I want them to feel the magic behind every narrative — to cherish the process of storytelling, and be inspired to create and dream.

It’s a step towards building a lifelong love for reading, an appreciation for the classics, and an understanding that stories — in any language or form — have the power to shape hearts and minds.

This year we are celebrating the birth centenary of the great maestro of Indian music Sri. Salil Chowdhury. On the week of his birthday we want to pay our homage to the legend through his music which includes the various genre of his immortal creations.
