Such models could support language documentation, translation, teaching, and conversational learning while allowing communities greater control over their linguistic and cultural data.
The discussion will also address challenges, including limited training resources, model accuracy, technical expertise, and the need for ethical data governance.
The seventh edition of DHWANI will feature a performative vocal presentation of her more recent poems, especially her uniquely styled love poems, in an immersive multi-media setting.

About the festival
BEFF showcases a diverse selection of documentaries, short films, animations, and experimental works that explore themes such as climate change, wildlife, forests, water, indigenous communities, pollution, sustainability, ecological justice, and the relationship between people and nature. In addition to film screenings, the festival hosts panel discussions, seminars, masterclasses, filmmaker interactions, and eco-themed activities, creating a platform for dialogue, education, and collaboration.
The festival believes that “when people see, they feel; when they feel, they act.” By using storytelling and visual media, BEFF aims to inspire individuals and communities to become more environmentally conscious and actively participate in protecting the planet. Selected films continue to be screened beyond the festival dates through outreach programs in schools, colleges, cultural spaces, and community venues, extending the impact of each film to wider audiences.

Gopi Chand needs no special introduction. He was a glittering star that raised over the firmament of Telugu literature. He rose on the arena of our literature as a writer, novelist, dramatist, essayist, cine script writer, broadcaster, publicist and movie director of outstanding creative talent unrivalled for the splendour of his romantic imagination.
He produced stupendous works and all of them are marked by depth of thought, which held the minds of all Telugu people spell bound in admiration and awe. He was a philosopher, thinker and mystic rolled into one.
By keen social perspective, profound understanding and deep insight, he set up a model in thinking and brought a revolution in the minds of intellectuals. His thought-provoking doubts probed into every sphere of human activity and enriched men's creative personality. He was a conglomeration of dynamic ideas.
Many faiths and philosophies merged in his personality.
Tolerance is the cornerstone of his Philosophy of thought and action. Synthesis, in the matter of religion is his key note which ultimately led him to synoptic vision. He introduced philosophy to the streets. Reading him is a rich and rewarding experience.
The hiatus caused by his untimely death cannot be filled easily. However the roots of his thoughts and the spirit of his struggle should not faded away from the aesthetic world.

The first edition of the Shehr Walk Festival is hosting an interactive session with author Daneesh Majid in partnership with Lamakaan.
Writer and documentary filmmaker Daneesh Majid will discuss his book, The Hyderabadis: From 1947 to the Present Day, in conversation with writer and researcher Pramod Mandade.
Drawing on oral histories, generational interviews, literature and personal experiences, The Hyderabadis traces the lives of the city’s people through the political and social transformations that followed 1947.
Daneesh Majid is a Hyderabad-based writer and documentary filmmaker whose work focuses on South Asian culture, security and Urdu literature.
Pramod Mandade recently completed his PhD at IIT Bombay. His dissertation, Nothing Remained the Same After: Living Pasts of Hyderabad’s Integration, examines memories of the violence that followed Hyderabad State’s integration in 1948, particularly in the Marathwada region. His writing has appeared in The Caravan, The News Minute and The Wire.

Justice S. Muralidhar is the Chair of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Justice S. Muralidhar is an Indian jurist who practised before the Supreme Court of India for nearly two decades during which he served as counsel for the National Human Rights Commission of India and appeared as amicus curiae in several public interest cases. In 2002 he was awarded a PhD by the University of Delhi. Mr. Muralidhar was a part-time member of the Law Commission of India from 2002 to 2006. In May 2006, he was appointed as a Judge of the Delhi High Court. In January 2021, Mr. Muralidhar became the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court, retiring in August 2023. His tenure in Orissa was marked by administrative reforms, including digitization of court records and the establishment of a Judicial Archives and Museum of Justice in Cuttack. In October 2023, he was designated as a Senior Advocate by the Supreme Court of India and returned to legal practice. Mr. Muralidhar is the author of Law, Poverty and Legal Aid: Access to Criminal Justice (2004) and is the editor of a volume of essays on the Supreme Court of India titled [In]Complete Justice: 75 Years of the Supreme Court.
